- Kathy Cash is a nationally recognized expert in the field of health promotion. She has trained hundreds of health promotion managers and is author of How to Add Sparkle and Pizzazz to Your Health Promotion Program, a highly regarded reference manual for health promotion managers. Kathy is a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel. In 1988, she was asked to develop the first official wellness clinic in the United States Air Force. This prototype clinic would form the cornerstone for Health and Wellness Centers throughout the Air Force. Kathy also wrote the first Air Force health promotion manager orientation manual. An updated version of this manual is still in use today ten years after first publication.
- After retirement, Kathy developed and managed the first civilian prevention program provided to the Department of Defense by a large Fortune 500 HMO. This program spanned eight states and served over one million beneficiaries. As a consultant, she has worked with several Internet ventures to provide health care and wellness content and services to a variety of populations.
- A registered nurse and certified Health Promotion Director, Kathy is also trained in total quality management theory and is one of the few health promotion managers to apply these principles to health promotion management. She is a frequent speaker at national wellness conferences, including the world's oldest and largest wellness association. Included in her other writing credits, Kathy is the writer/editor for "Wellness Program Management Advisor," a national newsletter for wellness managers.
